Sculpted poplar wood with a Bombay Mahogany surface treatment paired with the distinctive Caribbean style cane seating. This was a challenge to further explore and develop my design language through intuitive lines, curves and circles with a contrasting sharp edge.

The process
This video highlights the creative journey from the thought process, sketches and physical work that went into the design of Ira from 5 pieces of 10ft poplar wood to the sturdy structure of the sculpted final. It took approximately 1 month of dedicated hard work to complete.
